I haven't dug into the legal analysis part of the TX abortion legislation, but on its politics, it seems to me that, if it takes effect for long, let alone permanently, the backlash will be huge, as it is well to the right of median opinion on abortion in Texas. Right or wrong? — PolitiTweet.org

In response I just want to reject the premise that *freedom from fear* is synonymous with liberty. It is a good, to be sure, but not the same good. Many people fear liberty more than authoritarianism. — PolitiTweet.org
