@JInterlandi As I understand it, the safety data is not in question. The FDA told AZ to go do another trial to probe efficacy and come back when done. To change course the head of the FDA could grant EUA sans application on the basis of efficacy data from imperfect US trial + foreign rollout — PolitiTweet.org
