@jason_a_w I volunteered for several years at a camp for kids with physical and mental disabilities. Some parent cohorts treated that word as a strong taboo. Others used it in non-slur ways that I wouldn't but that they didn't see as taboo. People have wildly different experiences of this, — PolitiTweet.org
