@LeilLikeNeil I find this logic unsatisfying because one could as easily revert to a prior step and locate "the" foundation there. Without oceangoing vessels, navigation, and monarchies to finance expeditions to the Americas there would have been no opportunity to steal the land... (e.g.) — PolitiTweet.org
