I hate the phrase so-and-so “took to Twitter” because it implies the act of Tweeting is somehow interesting and notable in and of itself. It almost never is. 99.9999% of tweets are dumb and boring including this one. Just write “tweeted” it’ll be fine. — PolitiTweet.org
