Why should polling places be open 24 hours if employers have to let you take time off to go vote by law? In TX, employers can refuse time off if you're not on the schedule for 2 hours while polls are open. Because of polling place closures, voting lines can get up to 4-6hrs! — PolitiTweet.org

This law especially hurts seniors who rely on their children or grandchildren to drive them to the polling place. If their child can't get time off to take them while the polls are open, they could miss the vote entirely. — PolitiTweet.org
